NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Rufus, Sherman County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, will be held at Rufus City Hall, 304 W 2nd Street Suite 100, Rufus, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the 6th day of May, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 6, 2013, at Rufus City Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Any questions contact, Jaclyn McCurdy, 541-739-2321. This notice is also on the City of Rufus website at www.cityofrufus.net.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

Rufus is primarily a residential community with a current population estimate of 275. We also feature small commercial businesses catering to both local residents and interstate highway travelers. The nearby rivers offer a lot of different recreational opportunities such as camping, fishing, windsurfing, para-sailing, rafting, and boating. Rufus is 1 ½ hours away from Mt. Hood in Oregon and 1 ½ hours away from Mt. Adams in Washington.
